Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

To keep your accounts safe, Member Access is protected by multi-factor authentication (MFA). This security measure uses a one time passcode (OTP) to verify your identity when you perform certain tasks.

What is MFA?

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a security process that uses two steps to verify your identity. We send a unique, temporary code to your phone to add an extra layer of protection to your sensitive financial information in Member Access.

  • Safe & secure: Using MFA helps minimize the risk of fraudulent activity. Beyond your password, a one-time passcode is used to verify your identity when you sign in from a new device, reset credentials, or handle sensitive tasks such as authorizing transfers.
  • Quick & convenient: MFA offers a seamless identity verification process that is both faster and more secure than answering security questions.

Setting Up MFA

  1. Sign into or enroll in Member Access
  2. Set up multi-factor authentication (MFA): Whether you are enrolling or signing back in, you will be prompted to enable MFA and select your preferred OTP delivery method: SMS (text) or voice (call).
  3. Receive your passcode: You will receive either a six-digit SMS or a five-digit call code, depending on your delivery method selection.
  4. Verify your identity: Enter the activation code sent to your mobile device to complete registration.
