The Alerts service will allow you to receive a variety of account notifications via text message or through the secure message center on Connect GKCU. For alerts sent via text message, this service will require you to have an active mobile device, which will be validated during registration.

Alerts sent may not be delivered if your phone is not in range of a transmission site, or if sufficient network capacity is not available at a particular time. Even within a coverage area, factors beyond the control of the credit union and/or your wireless carrier may interfere with message delivery, including your mobile device equipment, terrain, proximity to buildings, foliage, and weather. While we will make efforts to initiate all alerts in a timely manner, we cannot control all external factors necessary for you to receive the alerts and as such you should not rely only on the alerts to maintain awareness of the status of your accounts. The credit union cannot assume liability for any negative consequences related to you not receiving alerts, including another chance alerts. By enrolling in alerts you acknowledge that alerts may not be timely received and that the credit union and your wireless carrier do not guarantee that alerts will be delivered.

You can register for the Alerts service via Connect GKCU. Below is a description of each Alert type offered by the credit union:

Security Alerts

The credit union monitors Connect GKCU for potentially fraudulent transactions. Registration for Security Alerts will allow the credit union to notify you immediately if and when any high risk transaction occurs. (Note: Mobile device is required to receive Security Alerts.)

General Notification Alerts

Registration for General Notification Alerts will not require an account selection. A notification will be sent for all eligible deposit accounts when the requested Alert is triggered.
  • New E-Statement Alert
    Receive a notification when your E-Statement is available on Connect GKCU.
  • Secure Message Alert
    Receive a notification when a secure message is sent to your Message Center inbox. (Mobile device is required to receive Secure Message Alerts.)

Account Specific Alerts

  • Another Chance Alert
    Receive an Another Chance alert on your mobile phone to make a deposit or transfer to prevent an item(s) from being returned due to insufficient funds (NSF).

  • Deposit Alert
    Receive a notification if a deposit was posted to your account.
  • Low Balance Alert
    Receive a notification if your beginning of day balance (after last night's posted transactions) is less than a set threshold.
  • Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) Alert
    Receive a notification when an NSF charge has posted to your checking account.
  • Overdraft Alert (Overdraft Transfer Service is required to register for this Alert.)
    Receive a notification when overdraft transfer service has posted a deposit to your checking account.
  • Withdrawal Alert
    Receive a notification if a withdrawal was posted to your account.

For your added security, the credit union will not send specific account information through Alerts. The credit union will never ask for specific account information or send scam notifications via text message.
